Temporary buildings and non-permanent structures are well suited to the construction industry and modern businesses. BlueSky Modular Buildings manufacturers temporary site offices for construction companies, councils, hire companies and more. You’ll find our buildings on site at major infrastructure projects around Australia.
Can you design stackable or two-storey temporary buildings?
2 story temporary buildings – or stackables – can maximise a limited footprint and offer larger overall floorspace. It’s also worth considering 2 story temporary buildings where the building needs to be raised for technical reasons or to allow for a storage space underneath.
Temporary accomodation modules can also be designed to offer on-site accomodation at mining and work sites. The fit out can include bathrooms, wardrobes and kitchenettes to suit the accomodations requirements.
Every temporary building is built around a structural steel frame to Australian Standards. The frame supports the buildings during transport, with internal modules being propped. The buildings are transportable anywhere in Australia. 2 story portable buildings are transported as individual modules, and installed on site.
Temporary Buildings and Structures
Temporary buildings are quick to install off shelter and accomodation. They are flexible, relocatable assets. There is minimal construction work or interruptions to your organisation. Every temporary building includes same features you would expect in any modern building. The benefit of temporary buildings is that they remain an asset, that are relocatable.
Types of temporary structures available:
- Site offices
- Ablutions
- Change rooms and shower blocks
- Ticket booths
- Site sheds
- Classrooms
- Studios and more.
Are temporary structures customisable?
Each temporary structure is fully customisable. They are designed to suit your organisation and the available land/space. Options include single storey, double and triple storey, basic offices with low maintenance vinyl flooring. Upgrades include LED lighting, air conditioning, kitchenettes, bathrooms and security options. Different sites can be catered for by the provision of ramps and footings to suit uneven sites.
Are temporary buildings durable?
We manufacture temporary buildings that are durable, easy to maintain, and can include security upgrades to suit the needs of construction sites. Modular construction is cost effective and the buildings that are easy to repair, upgrade and maintain. 2 story portable buildings provide maximum space, with a smaller land requirement – and can still be installed significantly faster than a traditional 2 story traditional build.
Do temporary buildings need a DA or building permit ?
To find out if you need a permit for a temporary building, please contact your Local Council. Development and Planning Applications are administered by Local Councils regulate the provision of local building and development legislation. In NSW, a construction site office would usually not need special approvals, as long as it wasn’t being used for residential purposes – and was located on a construction site which had development approval. Even still, there are requirements are connections to services such as water, power and sewerage. The requirements may vary – depending on how the temporary building will be used. Please see professional advice that is relevant to your circumstances as this is a guide only. Please be aware that the approvals needed may be different for any temporary buildings being used as dwellings, as opposed to offices, ablutions etc.
